During the honorary dinner, we will be honoring Kevin McClatchy, former owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates, for his dedication to children with Dyslexia. Andrew Stockey of WTAE will be the Master of Ceremonies for the evening.Â

 Mission
Provident Charter School is designed for children with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences to access their potential by providing a high quality, well-rounded education that is delivered through multi-sensory instructional methods and individual learning plans.Â
They serve 211 students, from 32 different school districts, in grades 2-6. Students enter our school with significant deficits in Reading and Math. The average student enrolls with reading scores that are 1 year behind grade level in Reading and 1.2 years behind grade level in math. The students who have been with Provident for greater than 1 year have improved, on average, 2.87 grade levels in Math, and 2 grade levels in Reading. Their students move into high school prepared to succeed and confident in their own abilities.
